For the past 16 years, Disney for Kids has sent at-risk children from Dorchester area children's social service agencies, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester, on a one-week, all expenses paid vacation to Disney World in Orlando. The children, ages 9-17, are chosen based on criteria such as involvement in programs at the Club, making a positive contribution to the Club, volunteering, school grades, school attendance and leadership. Most have never traveled outside of Boston, been on a plane, or stayed in a hotel. It is an experience they will never forget!
